THE PSYHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF THE UKRAINIANS’ PERSONAL RESOURCES USAGE DURING THE THIRD YEAR OF THE FULL-SCALE INVASION INTO THE COUNTRY
Abstract
The problem of finding effective resources is an important component of personal resilience in the context of chronic traumatization, which is dynamic in nature. The article presents the results of an empirical study conducted for the 3rd anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine and aimed at identifying the resources and achievements of Ukrainians in order to improve their physical condition and develop the forms of psychological assistance to people in a chronic stress state. It was determined that emotional exhaustion, sleep disturbances, insomnia, depression, and apathy are the main components that characterize the emotional state of the subjects. In order to overcome these conditions, the researchers chose «communication with loved ones», «watching movies», «physical activity» and «listening to music» as effective resources.Statistical processing of the results made it possible to identify the resource «аlternative work activities (additional work)» as a predictor of anxiety (.081), depression (.075) and PTSD (.081), and the resource «communication with loved ones» as a supportive resource for overcoming these conditions and the resource «physical activity» for overcoming depression.Among the list of achievements, respondents consider the most important to be a sense of gratitude for what everyone has in life (57.3%) and rethinking and adjusting life priorities (57.1%), which are inherent in more than half of the respondents, while «changing the priority of relationships in life», recorded in 43% of respondents, is a predictor of anxiety (.114), depression (.106) and PTSD (.155). Prospects for further research are identified in improving the program of psychological assistance to the civilian population, taking into account the results obtained.
