DISTANCE LEARNING FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS AS AN ATTEMPT TO SOLVE SOME PROBLEMS OF LANGUAGE TRAINING UNDER QUARANTINE

Abstract

The article discusses current problems of foreign students’ distance language training in difficult quarantine conditions. It is noted that the transition to distance learning has become a huge problem for many countries. It has become a kind of methodological challenge for the teachers of Ukraine. Now distance learning is carried out with the help of modern information and communication technologies. The main models of distance learning, distributed in the world, and evaluates the effectiveness of some of them were named in the article. The author analyzes the reasons that negatively affect the effectiveness and quality of distance learning in Ukraine. Examples of participation in this process of certain categories of students depending on their ethnic origin are given. It is emphasized that a very important point in achieving the effectiveness of distance learning is to take into account the ethnicity of students and their psychological readiness to learn without the presence of a teacher. The author gives examples of participation in this process of certain categories of students depending on the country of origin. It turns out that the lack of feedback through personal contact with the teacher in the classroom among the standard material and subject environment can cause problems with self-esteem and self-confidence. The author pays attention for such psychological problem that happens with students is a feeling of isolation from the learning process as a ritual. This often gives rise to a violation of discipline, neglect of systematic work, increases the psychological load, which then leads to loss of academic success. That is why the improvement of existing methods of distance learning and the creation of new ones, taking into account the ethnic characteristics of the contingent, is an important task. At the same time, the figure of a teacher becomes even more important, because for most foreign students it is very important to contact those who, with the help of their pedagogical skills, manage distance learning. This is especially important for first-year students.
