Abstract

The article raises the issue of professional training of higher education seekers in Ukraine in the context of the global coronavirus pandemic. Covid-19, radically has changed our professional activity. We did our best to adapt. More than seven months have passed since the World Health Organization declared Covid-19 a pandemic. Hundreds of millions of people have survived and are undergoing periods of severe quarantine. Many had to suddenly switch to work from home; millions of people lost their jobs. It is considered that the future seems uncertain. We do not know when public life will return to normal and whether it will return at all, just as we do not know what scars the pandemic will leave behind. The current problems caused by the need to realize the new reality of the COVID-19 pandemic as a driver of change in education are outlined. The COVID-19 pandemic has radically changed the lives of universities. However, after the «digital leap» in learning, many demand a return to normal learning in classrooms. Educational institutions have stopped fulltime education and transferred more than a million students to «home schooling». Quarantine clearly showed the ability of each lecturer, his approach to work, organization of training, and mastery of ICT skills. This will help change the approaches to professional development of each teacher and adjust personnel policy. It was found that this problem needs further study for the sake of urgency and can be considered as a generalization of modern world experience on the most pressing problem, a kind of guide for scientists and teachers. It is pointed out the need to study the problem of transition to distance and blended education systems, have changed radically the methods of teaching and learning, which requires appropriate changes in educational measurements, indicators of education quality, in particular for further research.
