ANALYSIS OF EDUCATIONAL AND PRACTICAL APPROACHES TO THE TRAINING OF PIANO TEACHERS AT PRESHIV UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The article emphasizes the important role of Presov University in the higher education system of Slovakia. After all, the Presov University is one of the four universities in Slovakia, which won the prestigious Diploma Supplement Label, which helps graduates in recognizing diplomas and qualifications abroad. Also, the university received a comprehensive accreditation, which confirmed the existing status of the University and its inclusion in the university system of Slovakia. Two types of training programs are described, which are a priority from the point of view of professional orientation. The first type of curriculum is a traditional part (pedagogical) of educational activities at the university and the second type of curriculum arose on the basis of dynamic development and changes in the labor market, the needs of information and education of society, the needs of a multicultural and multinational European area, the needs of the social sphere. Expanding the list of curricula for further learning opportunities is a priority for the university. Formation of professional competence of the future piano teacher and provision of educational services in the higher education system is studied. The educational and practical approaches to the preparation of piano teachers, the content and form of training and their key points in the department of music, institute of music and fine arts are analyzed in detail. Research is carried out at a high level, where much attention is paid to applied research in the field of information and communication technologies, electrical engineering, automation and control systems, mechanical engineering, construction and environmental engineering, and also studies music pedagogy and its musical-educational activity, musical and historiographical researches of musical culture, musical folklore and children’s folklore, music therapy. The University organizes various artistic events aimed at literary-dramatic, musical and fine arts. Some questions and features of the admission campaign of the University of Presov are covered. In particular, a component of complex exams in the specialty is revealed, which include auditory and vocal abilities, intonation and rhythmic abilities, basic knowledge of music theory and history, instrumental skills, colloquium.
