This work drew attention to one of the problems that is rapidly gaining momentum among the modern young generation – cyber-addictions. The prevalence of this addiction among adolescents requires a comprehensive study among professionals, both psychology, pedagogy and medicine. A comprehensive study of socio-demographic, individual-psychological and clinical-pathological features will create a complete picture of cyberaddicts and will be the basis for the development of effective mechanisms for prevention and psycho-correction of cyber-addictions among young people. The purpose of this work was to conduct a targeted Internet study among adolescents to determine the prevalence of the problem and identify types of cyber-addictions. The research methods were: theoretical (analysis and generalization of sociopsychological, medical-psychological, psychological-pedagogical literature on the research topic), semi-structured interview, psychodiagnostic, and mathematical-statistical (quantitative and qualitative analysis of the results). The targeted online survey, which has been running since 2015, involved 6,000 people (aged 14–21), including 2,940 men (49%) and 3,060 women (51%), of whom 663 sought help, but during conducting the study, which continues today, 104 people have refused to participate in further research. According to the results of an Internet survey, it was found that only 22.73% of respondents do not have cyber addictions, can control the time spent online or using a computer (PC), gadgets or other electrode devices. More than 70% of respondents have cyber-addictions, and it should be noted that boys aged 14 to 21 are more prone to PC addiction, gambling addiction and gadget addiction, and girls are more prone to cyber-communication addiction and selfies. The obtained results indicate the globalization of this problem and the need for further research to develop effective programs for the prevention of cyberaddictions among the younger generation.
