Abstract

The article reveals the specifics of working with parents raising non-speaking children, given their rapid increase. Early detection of these children is primarily performed in high-risk families. Educational work with parents becomes of paramount importance in the prevention and / or correction of speech development disorders. Mostly, correctional care for children of the first – third year of life is provided in the clinic under the guidance of a correctional teacher (speech therapist) and doctors. The information gained during the observation of the child at this age helps to plan the features of correctional and educational work, allows you to predict and guide parents about the future of the family. Speech development of young children with its delay is an important sociopedagogical problem that must be addressed comprehensively by specialists, parents, doctors, psychologists. In modern special education, the approach to solving this problem is based on a holistic, synthetic approach to the development of various aspects of the child's activities on the basis of the dialectical concept of speech and psyche development. The study revealed the level of speech therapy education of parents raising non-speech children of early preschool age, which is characterized by an insufficient level of development. Speech-impaired preschoolers grow up in a variety of social and psychological family settings. There is in most cases a lack of communication with adults, lack of work on speech development in the family and the use of not always correct methods of education affects the speech development of children. In many cases, family living conditions and upbringing of preschoolers do not contribute to the timely detection and correction of speech deficiencies, which indicates the need to promote speech correction work with parents. Only in communication can a child master speech and parents need to be taught this.
